Families can discover tutors based on relevant learning needs and preferences.
Learn flexibly
Tutoring opportunities may include online and in-person learning.
Connect safely
Platform tools help families and tutors manage their learning relationship.
Unless a service specifically states otherwise, tutors using the marketplace are independent providers rather than employees of Efiko Kids.
Accounts & eligibility
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping your account credentials secure.
- Provide accurate and reasonably current registration information.
- Keep passwords and authentication information confidential.
- Notify Efiko Kids if you believe your account has been compromised.
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
Accounts used on behalf of children should be created or managed in accordance with applicable parental or guardian requirements.
Families & learners
For parents & families
When using Efiko Kids to find learning support, families are expected to:
- Provide relevant and accurate information about learning needs and preferences.
- Treat tutors respectfully and maintain appropriate communication.
- Provide a safe and appropriate environment for in-person sessions.
- Ensure appropriate adult involvement or supervision where required.
- Use booking and payment processes responsibly.
Tutor responsibilities
For tutors
Tutors are expected to maintain professional standards when using Efiko Kids.
- Provide truthful information about qualifications, experience and services.
- Deliver agreed tutoring sessions professionally and respectfully.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries when interacting with learners.
- Protect confidential information obtained through tutoring relationships.
- Keep availability and relevant profile information reasonably current.
- Follow applicable safeguarding, legal and professional obligations.
Bookings & tutoring sessions
Booking details may include the tutor, subject, learning mode, date, time, location and price applicable to a session.
Before confirming a booking
- Review the tutor and session details.
- Confirm whether the session is online or in person.
- Check the scheduled time and applicable time zone.
- Review the displayed price and relevant cancellation terms.
Users should attend scheduled sessions on time and communicate promptly where a booking needs to change.
Payments & fees
Prices and applicable fees should be shown before a paid booking or transaction is confirmed.
Protected payment experience
Where payments are processed through Efiko Kids, users should complete payment through the supported checkout process rather than sending sensitive payment information directly to another user.
Payment processing may involve third-party payment providers and may be subject to additional terms imposed by those providers.
Cancellations & refunds
Cancellation, rescheduling and refund eligibility may depend on the booking type, timing of the request and the policy shown when the booking is made.
Where a specific cancellation or refund policy applies to a service, that policy forms part of the terms governing the relevant booking.
Acceptable conduct
Efiko Kids should remain a respectful and safe learning environment.
- Do not harass, threaten or abuse another user.
- Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent qualifications or identity.
- Do not use the platform for fraud or unlawful activity.
- Do not attempt to compromise platform security or other users’ accounts.
- Do not upload harmful, unlawful or infringing content.
- Do not use learner information for unrelated or inappropriate purposes.
Serious safety concerns or violations may result in restrictions, suspension or termination of access to Efiko Kids.
Content & intellectual property
Efiko Kids and its associated branding, software, design and platform materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Users retain ownership of content they own, but may grant Efiko Kids the permissions reasonably necessary to host, process, display or otherwise use that content to provide the requested platform services.
Service availability & liability
We work to provide a reliable platform, but online services may occasionally be interrupted, unavailable or affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
The extent of Efiko Kids' obligations and liability may also be subject to applicable consumer protection and other laws that cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Suspension & termination
Users may stop using Efiko Kids subject to any outstanding booking, payment or other obligations.
Efiko Kids may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, enforce these terms or comply with legal obligations.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Efiko Kids develops, introduces new services or needs to respond to legal or operational changes.
